Ames, Iowa: Cycle Force Group has released an expanded line up of Joey Bikes, a dedicated children's bike brand, of kids' bikes for 2021, which are in stock and ready to ship. The new models include new 8-speed geared options as well as a lower price point line of 12", 14", 16", 18" and 20" wheeled models.

The Thumper

The Thumper is Joey's first offering with an 8-speed geared drivetrain for older kids. The Thumper 20R8 is a fully rigid design with 20" wheels and Shimano RapidFire trigger shifting making it the perfect first grown-up bike for kids. The Thumper 24R8 is a 24" wheel 8-speed offering with front suspension making it great for older kids, typically in the 7 - 10 years old range. These models are priced at $399 and $449, respectively.

The Mia and The Hopper

The Hopper and Mia lineup complement the existing models in Joey's lineup as lower priced options for single speed kid's bikes. The Hopper and Mia are available in 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20" wheel sizes with coaster brakes, a front hand brake and training wheels on the 12, 14, 16, and 18" sizes. Pricing starts at $129 for the 12" Hopper and Mia.

The existing 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 models (14", 18" and 20" wheel sizes) feature a 3-piece alloy crank, a front and rear hand brake and a freewheel design to help children learn to use hand brakes early and prevent unintended braking while learning to pedal forward, an issue common with coaster brakes. These models start at $269.

"The Joey lineup was developed to offer a really well thought out kid's bike option for all of our retail partners here at Cycle Force Group. With the current bike boom, demand has been high so we're really pleased to have these in stock and ready to ship to customers and retailers alike," said Matthew Nims, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Cycle Force Group. "By adding the Thumper, Hopper and Mia models, we've rounded out our offerings to give kids of all ages a great lightweight bike to discover the joys of riding a bike."

Joey Bikes are in stock and available for purchase through Cycle Force Group's InGear Outfitters as well as many bike shops across North America. Retailers interested in stocking Joey Bikes should contact North America Cycles, a division of Cycle Force Group, at info@nacycles.com.
